Jason was born in 1982, in Fraziers Bottom, West Virginia. He is single but says he is married to a Hemi. At age 17, he started mud racingin 1999 driving a 1986 ford ranger with a 421 SBF. He won the 2000 MOVMRA (mid Ohio valley mud racing association) rookie of the year and pro stock points championship in the same year. He continued to race this truck until 2001.Took the 2002 season off to build an all out class 3 truck. Jason won his second ever national event at Lima Ohio and set the new 200ft national record. He also won class 3 at Lima in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Also won Indy in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Jason didn’t compete in a full nmro season until 2005. Won 7 of the 8 races that season and had a streak of 11 out of 13 national events. Won a co-championship in 2006 in class 3 as well, won 3 of the 4 races that year. Jason says one of his proudest moments was finishing second in class 4 at Indy in 2006 with a non nitrous class 3 truck out of 80 some passes. Jason has set 5 national records in class 3. Many times either pass would have won the class. Jason started racing open class in 2007; he went 2 for 2 in class 6 in 2007. He holds track records at Cobbtown Ga., Bennettsville sc, and 3 more WV tracks.Jason has a total of 15 national wins, 85 wins in all, Jason said “I think I have a very aggressive style; I always have my car set on kill.I love to put on a show for the fans, and love the kids at the races”. Jason has had 4 crashes in his career, most were violent 1999, 2003, 2004, and in 2007. Jason’s car is a rear engine 526 Alan Johnson hemi w/ a Whipple screw charger called intensity...My cars have been called outlaw, over the edge, possessed, and intensity over the years. I do my own engines, tune ups, clutch settings.Jason is hoping to carry on his winning ways in 2011.
